This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every user of the Rayn VPN service and is part of our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account with no refund.
1. General rule
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in every jurisdiction where you use it. You alone are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service is lawful in your location.
2. Prohibited activities
You must not use the Service to:
2.1 Commit or facilitate unlawful acts
- Engage in, enable, or facilitate any activity that violates applicable criminal law
- Distribute, receive, or access any material depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of children, or any other material that is illegal in your jurisdiction to possess or transmit
- Engage in human trafficking, terrorism financing, money laundering, or the illegal drug or weapons trade
- Violate U.S. or other applicable export-control and sanctions laws
2.2 Harm others
- Threaten, harass, stalk, defame, or harm any person
- Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious code
- Engage in unauthorized access to any computer system or network, including probing, scanning, or testing for vulnerabilities without authorization
- Conduct denial-of-service or distributed-denial-of-service attacks
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or other forms of commercial solicitation in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act or equivalent laws
2.3 Infringe intellectual property
- Distribute, download, or otherwise transmit material that infringes another party's copyright, trademark, patent, or trade secret without authorization
- Disable or interfere with technological protection measures in violation of applicable law
2.4 Abuse the Service
- Share, resell, or sublicense your account or Subscription to any other party
- Operate a public relay, mail server, exit node, proxy, or VPN reseller using the Service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software except to the extent permitted by non-waivable law
- Interfere with security or access controls of the Service
2.5 Peer-to-peer file sharing
- Use BitTorrent or any other peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing protocol, whether its traffic is encrypted or unencrypted, including torrent clients, magnet links, tracker connections, and distributed hash table (DHT) or peer-exchange traffic
- Disguise, tunnel, or reroute peer-to-peer traffic (for example inside another protocol, or over non-standard or randomized ports) to avoid the Service's controls
This prohibition applies on every plan, including the free trial, and whether or not the files involved are lawful to share. Peer-to-peer traffic connects to large numbers of third-party addresses at once, draws copyright complaints against shared network addresses, and degrades the Service for other users. The Service may detect and block this traffic automatically.
3. Fair-use and bandwidth
Rayn VPN Subscriptions include unlimited monthly data. There is no volume cap and no billing-cycle reset. Subscriptions are intended for individual, interactive use. Beyond ordinary consumer use, sustained automated traffic that is inconsistent with individual use (including but not limited to high-volume scraping, crypto-mining, or commercial file-distribution workloads) may trigger rate-limiting or account review. Peer-to-peer file sharing is not a fair-use question: it is prohibited outright under Section 2.5, at any volume.
4. Reporting abuse
If you believe another user is violating this AUP, or if you have received abuse from our network, email [email protected]. Copyright infringement notices should follow the procedure in our DMCA Policy.
5. Enforcement
We investigate reported violations. If we find a violation, we may (at our discretion):
- Issue a warning
- Rate-limit or restrict the offending account
- Suspend the account pending investigation
- Terminate the account without refund
- Cooperate with law enforcement where we are legally required to
Peer-to-peer file sharing (Section 2.5) may result in immediate suspension without a prior warning.
We do not retain connection logs. Enforcement relies on automated controls applied to traffic as it passes through the network, account-level indicators (such as payment abuse, brute-force login attempts, or usage inconsistent with this AUP), and reports from third parties.
6. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP. Updates take effect when posted here. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
